O you brave Kshatriyas ( Parthivaveerare )

Sloka:

After consoling the wailing Draupadi and accompanied by Satyaki, Uddhava, other Yadava leaders and ascetics, Krishna told Duryodhana that they will meet the next day and proceeded to Vidura’s palace for lunch. At that time Duryodhana ordered his kings thus.

Duryodhana: (Parthivaveerare)

O you brave Kshatriyas, those Pandavas
who lost the game of dice and were on a pilgrimage
have now set their eyes on half the kingdom
and are seeking ways to accomplish that

After their envoy the priest of Panchala
informed them that we have no
change of heart they are coming here
to beg for their share it seems

The sinful magician that Krishna is
will arrive now as the Pandava envoy
When that cowherd arrives
none of you kings will stand up.

Please understand, O royals, that
anyone who respects the Yadava
must pay ten measures of
gold as penalty to me.
