Deciding thus, that demoness, approached Panchali, who was expecting the return of her husband and hence away from them, and spoke this with the intention of kidnapping Panchali
 
Hey, the one who is the crown garland of  aristocratic pedigree 
 Sweet words – you listen.
 
My worries are disappear –   in proximity –
hey  the one with beetle-colored mane – Seeing you.
 
Hey, moon-faced beauty, without any accompaniment –
hey lotus eyed one, you for no reason –
in  a place dwelled by lions – In this forest –
with your lotus-smooth feet , do not traverse.
 
Jealosy is this – Do not think so, hey child,
my friend, the one with great qualities –
Due to compassion I am saying this;
Tell me, properly, hey child, about your family, and name – hey the pure one.
 
I am one amoung the heavenly Angels,
hey, the one who wins tuskers in gait –
please be informed now, 
in this deep forest, I saw you

Stage Features: 

Panchali is seated on left.  Lalitha (Simhika, now named herself Ganika) enters in a span of one “Kitathikidheem Tha” cycle of the lowest pace during which they see each other.  In reply to Panchali’s query, who you are, Lalitha enacts padam set to Navarasam Ragam and Atantha cycle of the lowest order with 56 beats per segment.
