Ravana

English

This night shining in full moon light

English
This night shining in full moon light,
alone, traversing, who you are, hey beauty?

Though clad in a blue satin,
am clearly seeing the beauty of a physique
Just like a golden string immersed in the blue waters of River Kalindi!!

(PrakruthiJatha)
The body that is above a tender leaf, words filled with nectar
as sweet as a cuckoo, rich with cheerfulness,
just once, should you give your lips,

Hearing these words

English
Hearing these words of instructions, Ravana becomes furious and delivered that messenger to the messenger of death.

As prescribed in the verse, Ravana beheads the messenger with his sword.  Returns and decides to teach a lesson to his half brother.

Lotus eyed

Brothers, well, what you befittingly said

English
Brothers, well, what you befittingly said –
thinking about those words – gives me immense happiness (sarcastic)

(Followed by normal culmination, circular culmination and Enclosed Culmination)

After having implored the Base of the Worlds, the Lord of Creation and the boons obtained from him by you –
Alas, the ones learning about it would feel supercilious

Hey the ones as great as oceans..

English
Narrator:

Having obtained the boons from the Lord of the Worlds (Brahma) and thus become powerful, Ravana decided to bring the universe and the gods under his command, approached his other brothers, who themselves have been blessed with boons, and spoke thus.
